Assessment of Nitrogen Use Efficiency in Algerian Saharan Maize Populations for Tolerance under Drought and No-Nitrogen Stresses

چکیده
Increasing drought incidence and infertile soils require the improvement of maize for nitrogen use efficiency (NUE) under conditions. The objectives were to assess tolerance genetic effects Algerian populations no-nitrogen water stress. We evaluated a diallel among six vs. 120 kg/ha N fertilization control. Variability was significant their crosses NUE drought. Additive could be capitalized using BAH MST, with high grain utilization (NUtE). most promising SHH × AOR supply both regimes NUtE, IGS, stress partial factor productivity (PFP), well-watered conditions protein content; IZM agronomic (AE) stress; nutrient (NUtE) nitrogen. These parents developing drought-tolerant or/and low hybrids improve these traits. Maximum heterosis exploited those crosses. Reciprocal recurrent selection used take advantage additive non-additive gene found based on estimations parameters.

evaluation of yield and nitrogen use efficiency of maize and cotton intercropping under different nitrogen levels
in order to evaluate the yield and nitrogen use efficiency of corn and cotton intercropping under different levels of nitrogen, an experiment was conducted as a factorial arrangement based on completely randomized block design with three replications. the experimental treatments were nitrogen fertilizers in four levels (0, 50, 100 and 150 kg ha-1) and planting pattern in three levels (maize sol...
متن کاملPhysiological and Genetic Mechanisms for Nitrogen-Use Efficiency in Maize
Due to the strong influence of nitrogen (N) on plant productivity, a vast amount of N fertilizers is used to maximize crop yield. Over-use of N fertilizers leads to severe pollution of the environment, especially the aquatic ecosystem, as well as reducing farmer's income. Growing of N-efficient cultivars is an important prerequisite for integrated nutrient management strategies in both lowand h...
متن کاملYield and nitrogen leaching in maize field under different nitrogen rates and partial root drying irrigation
Irrigation water is limiting for crop production in arid and semi-arid areas. Furthermore, excess nitrogen (N) application is a source of groundwater contamination. Partial root drying irrigation (PRD) can be used as water saving technique and a controlling measure of groundwater N contamination. The objectives of this investigation were to evaluate the effect of ordinary furrow irrigation (OFI...

In order to evaluate the traits related to nitrogen utilization and to identify the superior genotypes, 33 bread wheat landraces along three check cultivars of Chamran and Koohdasht (from Iran) and Gobustan (from the Republic of Azerbaijan) were studied in simple lattice statistical design with two replications under two treatments of non-usage and application of 200 kg/ha ammonium nitrate fert...
متن کاملMaize (Zea mays L.) Response to Nitrogen Fertilizer under Drought Stress at Vegetative and Reproductive Stages
In the sub-tropics, water and nitrogen are the most important factors limiting the grain yield of maize. The effect of nitrogen (N) rates and drought stress at different growth stages of maize were investigated. Nitrogen treatments consisted of 100, 150, and 200 kgN.ha-1 from the urea source while water stress treatments were composed of irrigation-off since the early 10-leaf stage to emergenc...
